Besides making private label production for some of Europe’s most prestigious brands and fashion houses in its various factories Bortex also produces its own ranges under two different labels. Besides being the European license holder for the Rochas Paris label, Bortex has also recently acquired the Gagliardi – Sartoria Dal 1964– brand.

  • Luxury menswear
    The family-owned Bortex Group (the name an anagram of ‘Borg’ and ‘textiles’) has been making apparel ever since 1964. Founder Salvatore ‘Sunny’ Borg launched the firm, specializing in men’s suits, jackets and trousers, whilst also being renowned for manufacturing for other labels and tailors and for various well-known and high profile customers from around the world.   • Lacoste
    Lacoste is a French clothing company, founded in 1933 by tennis player René Lacoste and André Gillier. It sells high-end clothing, footwear, perfume, leather goods, watches, eyewear, and most famously polo shirts. In recent years, Lacoste has introduced a home line of sheeting and towels. The company can be recognized by its green crocodile logo. René Lacoste, the company’s founder, was nicknamed “the Crocodile” by fans because of his tenacity on the tennis court. In November 2012 Lacoste was bought by Swiss family-held group Maus Frères.

  • Pringle of Scotland

    Pringle of Scotland is a luxury knitwear manufacturer and importer. The company has stores in London’s Bond Street, Sloane Street and Bluewater Shopping Centre as well as in Hong Kong, Japan and Taiwan and is sold by retailers in New York City and Milan.

  • Gant
    Gant, stylized as GANT, is an international clothing brand headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden. The company was founded in 1949 by Bernard Gantmacher and was originally based in New Haven, Connecticut.
    Gant is recognized as the brand that brought button-down shirts to the mass-market. The company also introduced an award winning button tab and the “locker loop” to the back of its shirts.
  • Loro Piana
    Loro Piana is an Italian clothing company specialising in high-end, luxury cashmere and wool products. Originally from Trivero (a district in north Italy famous for textile production), the Loro Piana family started as merchants of wool fabrics at the beginning of the 19th century. In the second half of the 19th century, the family moved its activity to Valsesia and founded the Lanificio Fratelli Lora e Compagnia, followed by Lanificio di Quarona di Zignone & C. at the beginning of the 20th century. Franco Loro Piana, Pier Luigi’s father, started exporting fine fabrics in the 1940s and Pier Luigi and his older brother, Sergio, joined in the 1970s.
  • Loake
    Loake is a British shoemaker, founded in 1880, family-owned and still based in Kettering. The company was founded by the brothers John, Thomas and William Loake in 1880, in Kettering, Northamptonshire, in an outbuilding at Thomas Loake’s house at 62 King Street. Loake has been a Royal Warrant holder since 2007. In 2015, The Independent wrote of “the brand’s durable, comfortable but stylish footwear”, and gave them a “best buy” rating.

    Cerruti is a fashion house founded in 1967 in Paris by the Italian stylist and fashion designer Nino Cerruti. Cerruti designs, manufactures, distributes, and retails luxury ready-to-wear, jeans, fragrances, sportswear, leather goods, watches, and accessories. The brand markets these products under two different labels Cerruti 1881 and 18CRR81 Cerruti. In 1967 the Cerruti label was officially launched with the opening of the flagship store and headquarters, at 3 Place de la Madeleine in Paris, France. The company was the property of the American firm MatlinPatterson Global Advisors from August 2006 until 2010. Since December 2010 the company is the property of Chinese Trinity Ltd (Li & Fung Group)
